Chandigarh, July 27:- Haryana Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda said that the state government has taken an important decision in the direction of honoring the great educationists of the state and their contribution in nation building. Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini has approved the proposal to change the name of the Government Post Graduate College located in Ambala Cantonment to "Acharya Raghuveer Government Post Graduate College, Ambala Cantonment" and has directed to provide necessary relaxation in the existing policy.
The Education Minister said that Acharya Raghuveer was a renowned educationist, linguist, great scholar of Sanskrit and Indian culture and a supporter of the national language Hindi. He made invaluable contribution in the preservation and propagation of Indian knowledge tradition, culture and languages. Naming the college after him will inspire the students with his ideals and spirit of service to the nation.
Mr. Mahipal Dhanda said that the present state government is continuously working to strengthen the infrastructure of education as well as connect the students with the great personalities of the country and their ideals. This decision will prove to be an important step towards strengthening patriotism, cultural pride and moral values ??in the new generation.
He thanked the Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini for this important decision and said that the Haryana government is working with full commitment for the preservation of education and cultural heritage.
