Chandigarh, July 23:- Haryana Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda said that he has full confidence in the capacity, dedication and efficiency of the teachers of the state. Teachers are laying the strong foundation for the construction of a developed India-2047 by imparting knowledge as well as values, discipline and self-confidence among the children.
He said this during the two-day National Conference of Education Ministers of States and Union Territories held on July 22 and 23, 2026 at Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Hall, Pusa, New Delhi. Organized under the chairmanship of Union Education Minister Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, this conference reviewed the centrally sponsored schemes and discussed various topics of school education in detail.
Education is not just intellectual development, it is a powerful source of character building
Meanwhile, Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda said that the basic purpose of education is not to impart bookish knowledge or to be limited to intellectual development. Real education is that which strengthens the character, moral values, self-confidence and emotional understanding of the child.
He said that the goal of Haryana's education policy is to give equal opportunity to every child to progress according to his special interest and ability. Schools in the state are being developed as living institutions, not just centers of learning, where the dreams, talent and personality of children can get the right and positive direction.
Special emphasis on primary education, skills and sports
Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda informed about the concrete steps being taken by the Haryana government to improve the quality of school education. He said that the state government is paying special attention to strengthening the level of primary literacy and learning. It is implementing practical courses to instill a sense of skill development and self-employment in students. It is making available ultra-modern resources to nurture sports talents right from the school level.
Teachers are the real architects of 'Developed India-2047'
Describing the role of teachers as supreme, the Education Minister said that teachers are the biggest strength of our education system. They do not just teach the syllabus, but also instill discipline, culture and self-confidence in children. Our teachers are shaping the future of the country in the classrooms every day and this is laying the real foundation for building 'Developed India-2047'. He said that he has full faith in the capacity, dedication and efficiency of teachers. On this occasion, he paid tribute to all the teachers of the state.
ITI, IIMT, IIM and CSIR Teacher training will be strengthened with the support of
Emphasizing the need for continuous updating of the knowledge and skills of teachers, the Education Minister presented a visionary suggestion. He said that to make teacher training more effective, modern and result-oriented, direct support should be taken from the top institutes of the country—like ITI, IIMT, IIM and CSIR. This will enable teachers to get the benefit of cutting-edge teaching methods and research-led technologies.
The Principal Secretary of the School Education Department of Haryana, Shri Vijay Dahiya and the State Project Director Shri Supnil Ravinder Patil were also present in this national conference.
