Patiala, February 2026:- Government Mahindra College, Patiala—one of the city’s premier institutions reflecting the rich royal heritage of Patiala—is hosting a five-day Art Exhibition from February 9 to February 14, 2026, under the banner of the renowned artistic collective Kalatmik Soch di Lehar which brings vibrant ideas to life through canvas and form.
The exhibition showcases the creative works of 40 established artists from across Patiala, presenting a diverse range of artistic expressions encompassing multiple generations, techniques, themes, and visual philosophies.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on February 9, 2026, under the able supervision of the respected Principal of Government Mahindra College, Dr. Nishtha Tripathi ji, whose leadership has consistently promoted artistic and academic excellence. The initiative has been further inspired by the encouragement and guidance of Dr. Kamal Sohal and Gursharnjit Singh Brar, whose commitment to art and culture has enriched the spirit of the exhibition.
The successful organization of this event is the result of the dedicated efforts of Dr. Rajinder Singh Sohal, Artist Kirpal Singh (Retired Railway Engineer), S. Pushpinder Singh, Miss Navneet Kaur, S. Gurpreet Singh Mankoo, Udham Singh, S. Jasvinder Singh.
The opening ceremony will be graced by the presence of Honourable Harpal Juneja ji, Chairman, PRTC, and the acclaimed film actor and singer Harish Verma, widely known for his role in Yaar Anmulle and the popular song Ikk Vaari Hor Soch Lai. The dignitaries will light the ceremonial Deepmala and preside as Chief Guests. Dr. Bhim Inder Singh, Director Youth Welfare, Punjab, will also address the gathering, emphasizing the importance of art in nurturing creative, sensitive, and socially aware youth.
The exhibition will conclude on February 14, 2026, with the valedictory ceremony to be honoured by the distinguished presence of Dr. Jagdeep Singh, Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University. The event promises to leave a lasting impression as a celebration of artistic excellence, cultural pride, and creative unity.
