Nawanshahr, September 29:- On the occasion of World Heart Day, Livasa Hospital, Nawanshahr, organized fitness activities and an interactive session with cardiologists on Tuesday. Local residents and fitness enthusiasts participated enthusiastically in the programme, highlighting the importance of staying active at every age and giving priority to heart health.
DSP Pankaj Sharma of Nawanshahr was the chief guest at the event, while Dr. J.D. Verma, President of the Senior Citizen Association, Nawanshahr, and members of the association participated as special guests. Neeraj Tiwari, GM of Livasa Hospital, Nawanshahr, was also present on the occasion.
Energetic sessions of Zumba, aerobics and Bhangra were organized during the programme. These activities demonstrated how enjoyable physical activities can be incorporated into daily routines to develop healthy habits.
During the event, Cardiology Consultants Dr. Prashant Thandi and Dr. Jagjit Singh highlighted the importance of preventive cardiac care and maintaining a healthy heart at every age. Both doctors advised the participants to adopt simple and sustainable lifestyle practices such as regular physical activity, a balanced diet and stress management instead of waiting for symptoms to appear.
