Mohali, September 12:- The first Parkash Purab of Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan, the martyrdom shrine of Dhan Dhan Amar Shaheed Jathedar Baba Hanuman Singh Ji. On the occasion, the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji was performed at 9:00 a.m. Thereafter, religious programmes were organised throughout the day.
Bhai Jatinder Singh Ji’s International Dhadi Jatha highlighted the greatness of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and also apprised the Sangat in detail about the Bani of the six Guru Sahibs and the Bhagats included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. The Ragi Jatha of Bhai Gurbhej Singh Ji, Hazoori Ragi of Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, made efforts to connect the Sangat with the Guru through their melodious Kirtan of the Divine Bani.
Bhai Manjit Singh Ji, Shiromani Pracharak from Ludhiana, through his discourses and exposition, spoke about the first Parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj at Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, by the fifth Guru Sahib, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, and about the first Hukamnama Sahib taken by Baba Buddha Ji on that occasion.
Besides this, Bhai Gagandeep Singh, Hazoori Ragi of Sri Darbar Sahib Ji, Tarn Taran Sahib, Bhai Ravinder Singh, Hazoori Ragi of Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, Bhai Gurwinder Singh, Hazoori Ragi of Gurdwara Bangla Sahib Ji, Delhi, Shiromani Pracharak Bhai Amar?ik Singh Ji from Shahabad Markanda, Shiromani Pracharak Bhai Nanak Singh Ji from Sri Amritsar Sahib, Bhai Gursewak Singh of Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib, Ludhiana, along with the Jathas of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan — Bhai Jaswant Singh, Bhai Inderjit Singh, Bhai Gurmeet Singh and Bhai Baljinder Singh — enthralled the Sangat throughout the day with Katha, Kirtan, Kavishri and Gurmat discourses. All the Jathas were honoured with Siropas.
On the occasion of the Parkash Purab, the interior of Darbar Sahib Ji was decorated with flowers. The exterior of Darbar Sahib Ji and the pathway up to the gate were specially decorated. On the occasion of the Parkash Purab, thousands of devotees took a holy dip in the sacred Sarovar of the shrine.
Expert doctors examined patients and medicines were provided by the Gurdwara management committee. Guru Ka Langar was served continuously to the Sangat.
