Jalandhar:- The flames of a fire that broke out in a junk godown on Kala Sanghian Road in Jalandhar city since Saturday morning are still burning. The fire had taken a terrible shape due to strong winds. Fire Brigade Department Officer Naresh Kumar said that the fire broke out near the grass market, where the flames spread rapidly due to strong winds. This terrible fire has caused immense destruction.
Along with the godown, 2 nearby factories also caught fire and were reduced to ashes. Apart from this, around 70 to 80 slums also fell victim to the fire. All the belongings of the families living in the slums were burnt to ashes. The fury of the fire is still ongoing.
A motorcycle and other valuables were also burnt in this accident. Due to this, the slum dwellers and factory owners have suffered huge financial losses. Many families have become homeless and now they are facing a big challenge to run their daily lives. Police and administration officials also reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Meanwhile, the police of police station number 5 and Lambra remained confused for a long time regarding the boundary and finally the police of Lambra police station started the investigation of the matter.
However, the godown where the fire broke out, the work of collecting trash and junk was done there and cleaning and sorting it. There is a large amount of flammable material in such godowns, due to which the fire spreads rapidly when it breaks out.

Fire brigade teams are still trying to control the fire. According to locals, the fire spread so fast that people did not even get a chance to recover.
