Hisar, 24 March: The fifth day of the Ram Katha being organized on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri at Geeta Bhawan, located in Rampura locality under the aegis of Adhyatmik Geeta Gyan Pracharini Sabha, began with devotional songs by bhajan singers Sumit Mittal, Jitesh Rakha, and Shubham Arora.
Thereafter, delivering her discourse, Acharya Kavita Kant Vajpayee Ramayani from Rae Bareli narrated the story of Ayodhya and said that when King Dasharatha was highly praised in his court, he did not feel pleased with it; instead, he sat on the throne and looked at himself in a mirror. This, she explained, was an act of self-reflection by Dasharatha. She said that when a person looks within, many shortcomings become visible, which can be corrected in time.
Dasharatha is the one who looks into the mirror, while Dashanan is the one who shows the mirror to others. We tend to see the faults of others but fail to see our own. We should introspect and reflect within ourselves to understand where we stand. The emergence of a pure and virtuous mindset is the true essence of Ram Katha.
On this occasion, institution president Usha Bakhshi, secretary Krishna Sharma, vice president Krishna Mehta, treasurer Dharambir Grover, Prem Lata Bakhshi, Sushila Devi, Veena Chaudhary, Bhushan Chaudhary, Ram Sharan Bhutani, Deepak Pal, Dayanand Bansal, Nandlal Dhamija, Subhash Gupta, Arjun Manak, Deshbandhu, along with many devotees, were present.
Institution president Usha Bakhshi informed that discourses will be held daily from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM until 26 March. On 27 March, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the concluding recitation of Ramayan and bhajan kirtan will take place. Prasad will be distributed at the conclusion.
