Chandigarh, March 27:- Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Administrative Secretary of District Kaithal Dr. Saket Kumar said that the procurement of wheat and other crops should be done smoothly during the Rabi season. Farmers should not face any kind of problem. Comprehensive arrangements should be ensured in all the mandis to comply with the new arrangements made by the government for the procurement of wheat. All basic facilities should be provided in the mandis. Complete arrangement of gunny bags should be made and after the procurement of the crop, it should be lifted on time, so that a jam-like situation does not arise in the mandi.
Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Saket Kumar was addressing a meeting of officials at Grain Mandi Kaithal on Friday. After the meeting, he also visited the mandi. Along with this, he also listened to the problems of the arhtiyas. He reviewed the preparations for the procurement of wheat in detail. During this, DC Aparajita and other concerned officers were present.
He said that all the equipment should be repaired on time. No negligence should be used in this work. He got detailed information about the gate pass, in which under the new rules, the entire process from taking the photograph of the farmers at the time of entering the market to biometric and later on entry in the agency's records was reviewed in detail.
In these various stages, the necessary resources like printers, moisture measuring devices, bardana, number of employees, empty space in the godowns, digital scales, including information about all types of stocks were obtained and necessary guidelines were issued. He said that the entire process should be so simple that the farmers do not face any problem.
He said that the road to the market should be repaired so that the farmers do not face any problem in the movement of the markets. During the inspection, he also talked to the market officials and arhtiyas and directed them to provide all the basic facilities during the procurement season. He said that no negligence should be allowed in the smooth arrangement of drinking water, electricity, cleanliness, loading and unloading and the farmers' crops should be purchased only as per the prescribed standards.
He also listened to the problems of the arhtiyas and assured them of their solution. DC Aparajita gave detailed information about the preparations for the crop procurement process and assured that the guidelines given by her will be followed hundred percent.
