Nawanshahr:- During the Bhog ceremony held for body donor Mata Gurpal Kaur at Gurdwara Shri Guru Ravidas in village Jhingran, Doaba Sewa Samiti General Secretary Ratan Kumar Jain, retired bank manager Ashok Sharma, AAP SC Wing District President Sohan Lal Dhanda, Dr. Niranjan Pal, and Dr. Harpinder Singh honored the deceased's husband, Mr. Amarnath, and sons, Sucha Singh and Bahadur Singh, by presenting them with Siropaos (robes of honor).
Social worker Ratan Kumar Jain stated that Mata Gurpal Kaur, a resident of Jhingran, passed away after a brief illness. To fulfill her last wish of donating her body after death, her husband Amarnath and sons Sucha Singh and Bahadur Singh personally handed over her mortal remains to PIMS Hospital and Medical College, Jalandhar.
On this occasion, Sucha Singh and Bahadur Singh shared that it was their mother’s desire that her body be of use to someone after her passing. They expressed their gratitude to the Doaba Sewa Samiti, Nawanshahr, for assisting in fulfilling their mother's wish. Ratan Jain remarked that Mata Gurpal Kaur’s body will aid medical students in their education. By studying her remains, students will learn to save lives, which is a significant national service. He thanked the family for their support in this social cause and added that, so far, 150 people have submitted their donation forms to their committee.
