Ambala, December 27: Haryana's Energy, Transport, and Labor Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, has taken strong cognizance of the incident in Mahesh Nagar where a person's shop was set on fire and he was threatened with death. He instructed the Mahesh Nagar police station to register a case in the matter, saying, "When the victim is naming the accused, why is no action being taken? I will not allow hooliganism here."
Mr. Vij was listening to the problems of the people of Ambala Cantonment assembly constituency at his residence today.
A woman from Mahesh Nagar complained to the Energy Minister that she owns a printing press shop in Mahesh Nagar, which she was supposed to vacate in a few days. However, in the meantime, some people threatened her husband, after which the shop was set on fire. On the woman's complaint, Minister Anil Vij instructed action to be taken in the matter.
Similarly, a woman from Chandrapuri complained to Minister Anil Vij that she has two daughters, and her husband constantly beats her and threatens to throw her out of the house. Minister Anil Vij instructed the Station House Officer of Padav police station, who was present on the spot, to take action in this matter.
Meanwhile, about 150 employees working on contract in the army complained to Energy Minister Anil Vij that they have been working on contract at the Station Headquarters in various positions for the past 15 years. They alleged that the army is now taking steps to remove the employees from their jobs. They complained to Minister Anil Vij about this matter, on which Minister Anil Vij assured them that he would talk to the military officials about the matter.
A resident of Ekta Vihar, Ambala Cantonment, complained to Energy Minister Anil Vij that he had bought a plot in Jaggi Colony Phase-3, Ambala City, a few years ago. Now, when he started construction on the plot, some people threatened him and tried to kill him.
He said that he has all the relevant documents for the land and is not being allowed to construct on the plot. Energy Minister Anil Vij directed the SHO of Maheshnagar police station to register a case against the accused and take action.
Similarly, Minister Anil Vij received other complaints, including one from a woman working in Defence Colony who alleged that her employer had not paid her salary for a month and a half, a complaint from a resident of Babyal regarding the non-measurement of his land in Ramgarh Majra, and a complaint from a resident of Hari Nagar about some people opposing the installation of a mobile tower at his house. Minister Anil Vij directed the concerned departments to take appropriate action on these complaints.
