Una, March 11: Deputy Director of Elementary Education, Una, Somlal Dhiman, informed that eligible students studying in grades 1 to 8 will receive ?600 directly into their bank accounts for school uniforms. He explained that this amount is being provided in accordance with government guidelines for the year 2025–26. According to the guidelines issued by the Directorate of Elementary Education, this benefit will be provided to all girl students, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and BPL students. This amount will be deposited directly into students' bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Deputy Director Somlal stated that all Block Education Officers have been instructed to launch a special campaign to open and maintain active bank accounts for eligible students from grades 1 to 8. If the bank account of any student is not active, it should be activated immediately from the concerned bank so that no eligible student is deprived of the direct benefit of this scheme.
In addition, all Block Education Officer offices have also been instructed to ensure that all the students of the above categories are provided the prescribed amount of Rs 600 through Direct Benefit Transfer, confirmed through a certificate.
