Hansi, October 3 (Dinkar Gawri):- With the objective of increasing awareness about the health, nutrition and overall development of women and children, Dr. Neha Dhawan, BJP State Spokesperson and National Adviser to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, visited six Anganwadi centres in the Hansi area. The ‘Angan Milan’ programme was organised at Anganwadi centres under the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” organised on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The objective of ‘Angan Milan’ is to take information about health, nutrition and public welfare schemes to the last person in society. Dr. Neha Dhawan said that through this initiative, emphasis is being laid on making Anganwadi centres not only centres for the care of children and women but also a strong medium for public awareness and social participation. Dr. Dhawan said that during the programme, women, children and families are being made aware of balanced nutrition, hygiene, healthcare and various welfare schemes run by the government.

During this, she sought information from Anganwadi workers about activities being conducted at the centres, care of children, nutrition arrangements and various facilities being provided to women and children.

Dr. Neha Dhawan visited Anganwadi centres in Vakil Colony and near the canal in Hansi, as well as two Anganwadi centres in Mandi Sainiyan.

Appreciating the work of Anganwadi workers, Dr. Neha Dhawan said that Anganwadi centres are a strong medium for delivering important services related to health, nutrition and early childhood development to women and children in rural and urban areas. She called upon the workers to pay special attention to children’s nutrition, hygiene, regular health check-ups and creating awareness among mothers about a balanced diet.

During the visit, women were provided information about nutrition during pregnancy and motherhood, balanced diets for children, hygiene and health-related precautions. At the same time, people were encouraged to make maximum use of government schemes and facilities available through Anganwadi centres.

Dr. Neha Dhawan said that a healthy mother and a healthy child are the foundation of a strong family and an empowered society. Highlighting the importance of the dedication of Anganwadi workers, she said that their role is extremely important in taking government schemes to the last person. She also stressed the need to maintain a better environment for children and women at the centres and promote public participation. Many women and children were present at these programmes. Anganwadi workers Meenu Bala, Anita Rani, Aarti, Anita, Parvati, Promila, Sushila, Priyanka, Saroj, helper Roshni, Anju, Harsha, Sharda, Kismati, Kiran, Geeta, Seema, Maya and Archana, among others, were present.
