Samana, July 24:- As part of the special documentary campaign being run by the Punjab government to mark the 650th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, a 30-minute documentary was screened on LED screens in various villages of Patiala district. A large number of people took advantage of it in villages Bammana and Basti Bammana of Samana block.
Prepared under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, this documentary is an important effort to convey the life, philosophy and message of equality, social justice, devotion to God and universal brotherhood of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj to the people. Under this campaign, this documentary is being shown in every village of the district so that especially the younger generation can become aware of the teachings of Guru Sahib.
After watching the documentary, the villagers appreciated this initiative of the Punjab government and said that it is a true tribute to Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj. The villagers said that the message of Guru Sahib of equality, brotherhood and a society without discrimination is as relevant today as it was then and such initiatives will play an important role in connecting the new generation with his ideals. Panchayat representatives of the villages, social workers, religious personalities and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
