Dera Bassi / Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 14 September 2026:- Under a special initiative dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj by the Punjab Government, a special documentary of about 30 minutes is being shown through LED screens in different villages of Dera Bassi block. In this series, a documentary film related to the life of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, his teachings and the great message given to society was also shown to the people at villages Ranimajra, Jola Khurd and Basoli.
Giving information, Dera Bassi MLA Shri Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that this special documentary dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj is being taken village to village by the Punjab Government to make the young generation and the general public aware of his great life and ideology. He said that Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj gave the message of equality, brotherhood, humanity and mutual harmony in society, which is highly relevant even in today's times.
MLA Shri Randhawa said that this documentary being shown in villages through LED screens is proving to be a good medium for people to understand the life of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj and his teachings in a simple and effective manner. He said that such efforts being made by the Punjab Government to take the teachings of great Guru Sahibans and saints to the people are commendable.
Meanwhile, residents of the villages, while appreciating this initiative being taken by the Punjab Government, said that through the documentary being shown on big LED screens in the villages, people of every section including children and youth are getting an opportunity to get information about the life of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj and his teachings.
