Nawanshahr- Dedicated to the 350th martyrdom centenary of Dhan Dhan Sahib Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a grand Gurmat Samagam is being organized at Gurdwara Manji Sahib Nawanshahr from 28 to 30 November by the sangats of the entire area. Sharing this information, Baba Narang Singh, Chief Sewadar of Gurdwara Manji Sahib and Surjit Singh, Chief Sewadar of Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society, said that after the successful completion of the Mahan Kirtan Darbar organized at Khalsa School, preparations have now been started to organize a grand Gurmat Samagam.
In which a district-level Nagar Kirtan is being organized in Nawanshahr on 28 November. The sangats, religious, social service, commercial, educational and cultural organizations from all over the area will be involved in organizing this Nagar Kirtan.
He said that meetings are underway to contact religious organizations of the city and the area to make this Nagar Kirtan historic and the cooperation and participation of all sections of the society will be ensured in this.
Apart from the Nagar Kirtan, night Gurmat Samagams will be held at Gurdwara Manji Sahib on 29th and 30th November in which famous Kirtani Jathas of the Panth, Kathawachak Dhadi and Kavishri Jathas will connect the Sangat with Gurbani, Gurmat thoughts, and the life history of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
He said that the Hindu community, all the temple committees of the city and Sanatani organizations have assured full cooperation and support to conduct these events with chardi kala. He said that a meeting of different organizations in this regard has been called on Wednesday evening in which the outline of these events will be drawn up.
On this occasion, Deedar Singh Gahun, Deputy Chief Servant, Tarlochan Singh Khadkar Kalan, Jagdeep Singh Cashier, Kuljinderjit Singh Sodhi Banga, Sukhwinder Singh Gobindpur, Mukhwinder Pal Singh, Udham Singh Gobindpur, Sohan Singh, Satbir Singh Goni, Iqbal Singh and Giani Sukhdev Singh were also present with him.
