Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, December 19, 2025:- Mrs. Komal Mittal, District Magistrate Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, in exercise of the powers conferred under Chapter 11 (Section 163) of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023 (46 of 2023), has issued orders prohibiting climbing on and holding dharnas/rallies around government/private buildings, blocking roads etc. falling within the limits of District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. These orders will be in force from December 11, 2025 to February 10, 2026.
It is worth mentioning here that Senior Superintendent of Police Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar brought to the notice of District Magistrate SAS Nagar that various employee unions, unemployed etc. unions/federations are staging protests by climbing on various water tanks, telephone towers and other government/private buildings of the district and blocking roads etc. regarding their demands.
The concerned protesters also put their lives in danger and the law and order situation may also be disrupted. These orders have been issued to stop such actions.
