Jalandhar- On the final day of the three-day Ghadri Babas' Mela, on the afternoon of November 1, a serious discussion will be held on the topic of 'Challenges to the legacy of the Ghadri movement' at the Ghadri Baba Jawala Singh Hall. Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee President Ajmer Singh, General Secretary Prithipal Singh Marimegha and Cultural Wing Convener Amolak Singh said that in this discussion, members of the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee Hardev Singh Arshi, Dr. Parminder, Mangat Ram Pasla, Raminder Patiala, Sukhwinder Sekhon will share their views.
Sharing information about the discussion with the press, he said that the dream of the Ghadris of creating a free, prosperous, and inclusive society free from imperialism, domestic and foreign corporate houses, casteism, and creating a new, prosperous society by eliminating imperialist domination from the entire world is now being turned upside down. This discussion will focus on meeting such challenges so that the 34th fair dedicated to the centenary of the departure of Ghadri Gulab Kaur, the Ghadri Babas, succeed in their mission.
Today, a formal invitation letter and a special public call were sent from the Desh Bhagat Memorial Hall office to all the committees formed in the villages of Punjab, that they would join the flag hoisting ceremony and the souvenir presentation ceremony of the fair at 10 am on November 1st, taking the souvenirs in their hands. It would be a matter of pride for the committee.
A day before the workshop related to the 34th fair, the child artists of the team 'Rang De Basanti' of Government Primary School Lehra Bega Bathinda, led by Madam Kiranjit Kaur, reached the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall and till evening, artists from every corner of Punjab joined the workshop.
It is worth mentioning that the committee is grateful to Karnail Singh of Phagwara for the music direction and recording services in the studio for the song.
