Hisar, March 22: Under the aegis of the Shiv Temple Trust, MC Colony, a 'Mata Ki Chowki' (devotional gathering) was organized at the Shiv Temple to mark the auspicious occasion of Navratri. Hundreds of devotees paid their obeisance at the shrine of the Mother Goddess. Ramavatar Agarwal, President of the Temple Trust, stated that after the ceremonial lamp (Jyot) was lit by Municipal Corporation Mayor Praveen Popli, Fatehabad-based Bhajan singer Deep Aditya and Hisar-based singer Rajendra Kaka performed devotional songs (Bhajans) in praise of Mata Rani. Chants of "Jai Mata Di" (Victory to the Mother Goddess) continued to reverberate throughout the venue until late into the night.
The devotional repertoire included popular Bhajans such as "Mera Aapki Kripa Se Sab Kaam Ho Raha Hai," "Aaj Mainu Nach Len De," "Nange-Nange Pair Chal Daud Aayi Maa," "Kirtan Ki Hai Raat Maiyya Aaj Thane Aana Hai," "Maiyya Hai Meri Sheron Wali," "Sacha Hai Maa Ka Darbar," "Aayegi Sheron Wali Maa Dil Se Bula Kar Dekh," "Aaj Maiyya Ka Jagrata," "Daati Da Deedar," and "Chalo Bulawa Aaya Hai Mata Ne Bulaya Hai." These soulful renditions compelled the devotees to sway and dance in spiritual ecstasy. During the event, a ceremonial procession (Jhanki) was also carried out. Mayor Praveen Popli was honored with a traditional stole (Patka) and presented with a memento.

Singla, Councilor Sanjay Dalmia, Dr. Ravindra Gupta, former Councilor Naresh Singhal, Bhimsen Ahuja, Ramniwas Goyal Adampuria, Sanjay Goyal, Anil Bansal, Sitaram, Kailash Rani, Rakesh Garg, Rajesh Saini, Chandraprakash, Surendra Jain, Kamal Mehta, Amarnath, Ramniwas Goyal, Pramod Goyal, Dr. Anil Sharma, Tarasingh, Virendra Gupta, Subhash Mittal, Rakesh Agarwal, Pradeep Sharma, R.S. Panu, Raju Soni, and Nipun, among others.
Trust President Ramavatar Agarwal further informed that the devotees visiting the temple offered prayers and sought blessings after witnessing the hundreds of 'Akhand Jyots' (perpetual lamps) that have been kept burning continuously within the temple premises throughout the Navratri festival. He stated that the ongoing Navratri festivities at the temple will conclude on the final day with a *Havan*, followed by the distribution of *Prasad*.
