Ratia/Fatehabad, November 21: A state-level program will be organized in Kurukshetra to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru, the symbol of the Chadar of India and sacrifice. On this historic occasion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will pay tribute to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and spread the message of Martyrdom Day to the people.
A large number of devotees from Fatehabad district will arrive in Kurukshetra. The district administration has begun extensive preparations for this. On Friday, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Vivek Bharti held a meeting with officials from various departments and officials of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee in the Mini Secretariat auditorium and provided necessary guidelines.
In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Vivek Bharti stated that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's martyrdom message is a precious example of humanity, religious protection, and brotherhood. The district administration is responsible for ensuring a safe and smooth journey for pilgrims. He directed that all preparations related to transportation, security, health services, drinking water, sanitation, and traffic management be completed in a timely manner.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Transport Department to provide adequate buses for pilgrims and plan their operations accordingly. He directed the Police Department to maintain strong security and traffic arrangements along the Yatra routes.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Vivek Bharti stated that this event holds immense religious and emotional significance for pilgrims, and therefore, there should be no negligence. All departments should work with full responsibility and coordination to ensure that pilgrims face no inconvenience.
BJP District President Praveen Jora said that the life and martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the "Chadar of India," inspires us to stand up for extraordinary courage, religious freedom, and humanity. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's presence at this historic event to pay tribute is a matter of pride for the entire nation. A large number of devotees from Fatehabad district will participate in this event, and both the district administration and organizations will cooperate fully to ensure a smooth and safe journey for them.
On this occasion, RTA Secretary Sanjay Bishnoi, SDM Surendra Kumar, CEO Suresh Kumar, CTM Gaurav Gupta, DSP Kulwant Singh, TM Surendra Singh, Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee members Karamjeet, Iqbal, Gurmel Singh, Mahendra Wadhwa, Kanwal Chaudhary and other officials were present.
