Una, April 12 – Deputy Chief Minister and MLA for Haroli, Mukesh Agnihotri, on Sunday inspected the decorated market, various shops, and amusement rides set up as part of the State-Level Haroli Festival–2026. While describing the arrangements as satisfactory, he directed the concerned officials to further strengthen the provisions for sanitation, drinking water, parking, and security to ensure that visitors do not face any inconvenience.
Inspecting the various product displays, handicrafts, and fast-food stalls located within the festival grounds, the Deputy Chief Minister interacted with the vendors to gather feedback regarding the arrangements. He stated that the Haroli Festival serves as a vital platform for showcasing the region's rich cultural heritage, while also providing a broad stage for promoting local products and handicrafts.
Meanwhile, the colorful market—adorned for the festival—has emerged as a major center of attraction for the public. It offers a unique blend of traditional flavors and modern culinary delights. Alongside the aroma of Himachali *Siddu*, Rajasthani delicacies—including *Kachori*, *Jalebi*, and *Dal-Bati Churma*—are proving to be a major draw for visitors. Similarly, stalls offering Punjabi favorites such as *Chole*, *Kulche*, *Bhature*, and *Tikki* are also receiving an enthusiastic response. Stalls offering a variety of beverages, including Mojitos, have become a particular highlight among the youth.
For shopping enthusiasts, the stalls featuring ready-made garments, attractive kitchenware, and Punjabi footwear are witnessing significant crowds. The amusement rides and bookstalls set up specifically for children have added a distinct vibrancy to the festival, where little ones can be seen enjoying themselves with unbridled enthusiasm.
Additionally, a display of modern agricultural machinery—including Indo Farm tractors—has successfully captured the attention of the farming community. Additionally, exhibition counters displaying materials used to manufacture doors, windows, shop shelves, and office counters—all crafted from aluminum—have been set up, lending a unique commercial and practical dimension to the festivities.
During the event, Haroli SDM Vishal Sharma provided the Deputy Chief Minister with a detailed briefing regarding the arrangements made for the fair. The festival, beautifully organized at the Haroli Maidan in Roda along the banks of the Sombhadra, is witnessing a massive turnout of both locals and visitors from outside the region, thereby creating an atmosphere of excitement and jubilation throughout the entire area.
