Chandigarh, 25 September- The Higher Education Department of Haryana, taking a major decision in the interest of students of the state, has extended the last date for admissions for the academic session 2026-27.
Haryana Education Minister Shri Mahipal Dhanda, while providing information, said that the last date for admission to the first, second, third and fourth years of Graduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses in all government, government-aided and self-financing colleges of the state has now been extended to October 6, 2026.
Education Minister Shri Mahipal Dhanda said that the department had been continuously receiving requests from principals of various colleges and students regarding reopening the admission portal and extending the admission date. Keeping in view the convenience of students and their educational interests, the government has decided to reopen the admission portal and extend the last date. He said that this decision will provide relief to all those remaining students who, due to some reason, had not been able to complete their admission process so far. The Education Minister directed the principals of all concerned colleges to ensure that the admission process of eligible students is completed in a time-bound and smooth manner.
