Hansi:- Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal, in view of the rainy season, has specially deputed a Junior Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department with the objective of keeping the drainage system completely smooth in and around the DC Residence Road. He has instructed the concerned officer that no waterlogging situation should arise at any place during rainfall and quick and effective drainage of water should be ensured.
Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal said that the objective of the district administration is to ensure that citizens do not face any kind of inconvenience during the rainy season. For this, all the concerned departments have already been instructed to keep necessary preparations complete. He said that the equipment related to drainage, pump sets and other necessary resources should remain in fully functional condition so that they can be used immediately as soon as it starts raining.
He instructed the concerned Junior Engineer to himself remain present on the spot during rains and monitor the drainage work and ensure immediate solution to any kind of problem that arises. He said that as soon as information about waterlogging is received, drainage of water should be carried out without any delay, so that the general public does not have to face any kind of inconvenience in movement.
DC Rahul Narwal clearly said that any kind of negligence or unnecessary delay in the drainage system will not be tolerated. If waterlogging situation arises due to the apathy of any officer or employee or delay is found in drainage of water, then strict administrative action will be taken against the concerned Junior Engineer as per rules.
He said that the district administration is keeping a constant watch on every sensitive area during the monsoon and effective action is being ensured by establishing coordination among all departments. The aim of the administration is that during rainfall the roads of the city remain safe, traffic continues to move smoothly and citizens do not have to face any kind of inconvenience.
