Una, March 12:- Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal stated that there is no shortage of domestic gas cylinders in the district and gas is being supplied regularly to all consumers as per their demand. He stated that some rumors are circulating regarding a shortage of gas cylinders due to the international situation, but they need not be paid any attention to them.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that all 12 gas agencies operating in the district have adequate stock of domestic gas cylinders, and the supply process is continuing normally. He appealed to consumers not to believe any misleading information regarding gas shortages and not to rush into booking cylinders unnecessarily.
He stated that, as per Government of India guidelines, consumers should book gas cylinders only after a gap of 25 days, so that gas can be made available to all consumers on time and the supply system remains smooth.
The Deputy Commissioner also advised that booking gas cylinders should be done only through authorized channels and that booking through any unauthorized website or mobile app should be avoided.
Jatin Lal stated that the supply of commercial gas cylinders to all medical and educational institutions in the district will be ensured on a priority basis, so that essential services are not affected in any way.
He stated that the district administration is continuously monitoring the situation. If any individual or institution is found hoarding or black-marketing domestic gas cylinders, strict action will be taken against them under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955. Departmental teams have also been formed for this purpose.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the residents of the district to be responsible consumers, follow the rules, and avoid any misleading information, so that the gas supply system in the district remains smooth.
