Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, March 26: The government led by Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is continuously doing public welfare works in the education and health sectors and the promises and guarantees made during the elections are being fulfilled one by one. Going further than this, the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme of up to Rs. 10 lakh has also been launched, which in itself is a unique scheme in the country.
This was revealed by MLA from Mohali assembly constituency S. Kulwant Singh while inaugurating interactive flat panels in various schools today.
He said that under the campaign to install 50 interactive flat panels in 22 senior secondary and high schools of Mohali constituency, 12 panels were handed over to the students in 5 schools in the past few days, while today 12 panels have also been dedicated in 5 other schools. He said that 2 LEDs have been installed in Government High School Phase-5, 4 LEDs in SOE Phase-11, 2 LEDs in High School Saneta, 2 LEDs in Government Senior Secondary School Gobindgarh and 2 LEDs in Senior Secondary School Village Manauli.
MLA Kulwant Singh said that interactive panels are being installed to make the students abreast of the times and increase their interest in studies, so that they can get education in modern ways and contribute to the progress of Punjab and the country in the future. He said that the government is continuously making efforts to raise the level of education and these efforts will continue.
He further said that the government has also paid special attention to the health sector. Recruitment of necessary staff in hospitals, provision of necessary facilities and establishment of Mohalla clinics have been done, where a large number of patients are treated and tested free of cost every day and necessary medicines are provided free of cost.
On this occasion, Prabhjot Kaur (District President), Annu Babbar (District Coordinator, War on Drugs), Sharanjit Kaur (Block President), Harmesh Singh Kumbaran, Jaspal Singh Mator, Gurpal Singh, Surinder Singh Shinda, Akbinder Singh Gosal (Chairman), Amarjit Singh, Tarunjit Singh (Block President), Vikram Sandhu, Swaran Lata, Avtar Singh Mauli Baidwan, Gurdesh Singh Sarpanch, Roop Chand Saneta, Rameshwar Saneta, Jagjit Singh Gobindgarh, Karma Puri Sarpanch, Kulvir Singh Manauli, Nirmal Singh Kurdi and Tarlochan Singh Mator were present.
