Hoshiarpur: Under the leadership of tournament organizer Satish Sangad, the Sports Welfare Society successfully organized the 2nd Annual Badminton Tournament at Saffron City Colony. Players of various age groups participated in the competition with great enthusiasm and displayed excellent sporting skills. The objective of the program was to inspire youth towards sports and promote a healthy lifestyle.
On this occasion, Lions Club Hoshiarpur Pearl President Vijay Arora, prominent social workers Sanjeev Arora, Umesh Rana, and Ashwini Datta were specially present. Encouraging the players, Lion Vijay Arora described sports as essential for the all-round development of society. He stated that the objective of the Sports Welfare Society is to connect youth with sports and keep them away from evils like drugs.
Prominent social worker Lion Sanjeev Arora said that sports are a powerful medium to unite society. Appreciating the efforts of the Sports Welfare Society in providing a platform for sports talent, he remarked that such events play a crucial role in building a bright future for the youth. He added that sports not only improve physical health but also develop discipline, team spirit, and leadership qualities. He urged the youth to participate actively in sports activities.
On this occasion, Sports Welfare Society organizer Satish Sangad thanked all the guests and players and said that a series of such sports events and competitions at a larger level will continue in the future. In the end, the winning and runner-up players were also honored. Dinesh Sabbarwal made a special contribution to the success of the program. Aniket Sharma, Amit Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Shashwat Handa, Pradeep Guleria, Anil Handa, Ravi Sluja, and others were present.
