Patiala 09-02-2026:- A memorandum of demands of the Safai Sewaka Sewermen and Grade Four employees of Class Fourth Union Punjab, Sub Branch (Related) Municipal Corporation, Patiala was given to Commissioner Municipal Corporation Paramjit Singh IAS. On this occasion, the state president of the union Mr. Darshan Singh Lubana was specially present. On this occasion, it was announced that the nationwide strike on 12-02-2026 was supported and it was decided that a grand gate rally should be held at the Municipal Corporation office on this day. In the memorandum of demands, a copy of the orders of the Honorable Supreme Court regarding the decision to regularize all the raw workers was given to the Commissioner. Thus, a demand was made to deposit the past due EPF account with interest in the account. There was a demand for equal pay for equal work, a demand for complete abolition of the contract system. In this way, there was a strong demand for filling the shortage of sanitation workers, sewermen and grade four employees in the Municipal Corporation and for new recruitment. Since the Municipal Corporation constituency in Patiala has expanded considerably, about one and a half dozen demands were included in the demand letter, the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation also assured to discuss the demands.
On this occasion, Municipal Corporation President Babu Ram Babbu, General Secretary Kuldeep Kaka, Chairman Hemraj, Sanjay Kagra, Cashier Baljinder Kumar, Vice President Sandeep Kumar, Kamal Daroga, Pammi Daroga, Rahul Daroga, Sanjay Daroga, Raj Kumar Bittu Daroga, Rajiv Daroga, Ratan Daroga, Ved Prakash Daroga, Pawan Daroga, Sunny Mattu Daroga, Manish Daroga, Raju Daroga, Mangat Kalyan, Ashok Ekta, Ajay Kumar Soni, Bunty Sangar, Gursevak Bidlan, Monu Lakkar Mandi, Dharmendra, Amit etc. were present.
