Chandigarh, April 1:- Under the Haryana Government's Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme, a special train will depart from Kurukshetra for Shri Hazur Sahib Nanded, Maharashtra on May 5. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini will flag off this train and send off the congregation coming from different districts of the state.
While giving information, a government spokesperson said that senior citizens, who are above 60 years of age and whose family income is less than one lakh 80 thousand rupees, can avail the benefits of this scheme. To avail the benefits of the scheme, registration can be done on Saral Haryana portal by April 15. Eligible persons can register for this free pilgrimage at the nearest CSC center or on Saral Haryana portal from their smart phones while sitting at home.

This will be the eligibility to avail the benefit of the scheme
The spokesperson clarified that some important documents have been made necessary to apply under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme, which include a valid photo identity card (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card or other government ID), Family Identity Card (PPP), self-declaration of physical fitness for the journey and a declaration of not availing the benefit of the scheme in the last three years. While giving information about the eligibility, he said that the applicant must be a resident of Haryana and have a family identity card.
The spokesperson said that senior citizens are allowed to take one helper with them on full payment. At the same time, people in the age group of 18 to 60 years or with an income of more than 1.80 lakh can avail the benefit of this scheme on full payment. As per the rules of the scheme, any person can avail this facility only once in every three years. In this scheme, which is operated on a first come, first served basis, family identity card is necessary for application.
The Chief Minister while giving information said that under this scheme, the government will make all arrangements for the accommodation, food and local transport of the passengers at its own level.

After registration, the Sangat will have to give information in the DIPRO office
The spokesperson said that after applying, the applicant will have to give the information in the District Information and Public Relations Officer office located in their respective district so that the information of the eligible persons can be sent to the Railways on time. Registered persons must give this information in the DIPRO office before April 16.
