Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 6:- MLA Kulwant Singh today flagged off the 33rd and 34th buses of pilgrims from village Kailo and Chapparchiri Khurd to Sri Amritsar Sahib under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme.
While talking to the media on the occasion of flagging off the buses, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the joy and peace of mind one gets while sending off the pilgrims for this holy pilgrimage is beyond words. He said that he will always be grateful to God for this responsibility.
He said that as the pilgrims who have returned from the pilgrimage share their experiences, other people are also inspired to go on the pilgrimage and the registration is increasing. This is very satisfying for us.
MLA Kulwant Singh said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann wants maximum senior citizens of Punjab to take advantage of this yatra. He said that devotees from all over Punjab including Mohali are visiting Sri Amritsar Sahib under this scheme.
He further said that the promises and guarantees made to the people by the Aam Aadmi Party government are being fulfilled and in the coming time the long pending issues of cities and villages will also be resolved. People-friendly schemes are being implemented to further accelerate the pace of development of Punjab.
On this occasion, State Awardee and Constituency Coordinator Chief Minister's Travel Scheme Phulraj Singh, Tarlochan Singh Tochi (Sarpanch, Kailo), Gurjit Singh (Panch), Sukhjit Singh, Stokh Singh, Bikramjit Singh, Harjinder Singh, Manjit Kaur (Sarpanch, Chapparchiri Khurd), Bhupinder Kaur (Panch), Manpreet Singh (Nambadar), Kamalpreet Kaur (Panch) and Jaspreet Singh (Ladder) were also present.
