Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, March 7:- Under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme, the 9th bus from Mohali assembly constituency was flagged off by MLA Kulwant Singh. While flagging off this bus filled with devotees from Sector-68 and Kumbra, MLA Kulwant Singh while talking to the media said that the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme, started as per the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is getting huge support from the people and there is a special enthusiasm among the devotees for religious pilgrimage.
He said that under this scheme, one bus is being sent booth wise for pilgrimage and more buses will be sent in the coming time. During this journey, while the devotees will be able to visit various religious places, they will also get the opportunity to see Jallianwala Bagh, associated with the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence, and will also be able to see the service of the soldiers at the Wagah border from a close distance.
MLA Kulwant Singh said that now the opposition parties have no issue left to raise against the Aam Aadmi Party government, because the promises and guarantees made to the people by the party's convener Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann are being fulfilled. He said that the guarantee of giving Rs 1000 every month to women will also be announced soon during the budget session.
He said that the Punjab government has further reduced the electricity rate by Rs 1.5 per unit to provide relief to the people of the state.
