Chandigarh, September 13:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday attended the tribute programme organised on the occasion of the 26th death anniversary of immortal martyr Naik Malkit Singh of the Kargil War at village Hadana in Patiala district of Punjab and paid a heartfelt tribute to him. The Chief Minister offered flowers at the statue of martyr Naik Malkit Singh and paid homage to his indomitable courage and supreme sacrifice for the nation.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini interacted with the family members of the martyr and expressed his respect and sympathy towards them. He said that brave soldiers who make the supreme sacrifice of their lives for the protection of the country are the invaluable heritage of the nation. The indomitable courage, bravery and dedication of martyr Naik Malkit Singh towards Mother India will always be remembered.
The Chief Minister said that the heroic saga of martyr Naik Malkit Singh will continue to inspire future generations towards devotion to duty, patriotism and service to the nation. The nation can never forget the sacrifices of its brave martyrs. The martyrdom of such immortal sons of the nation will always remain a source of inspiration for the people of the country.
