Lalru, September 16:-Under the ‘Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme’ being run by the Punjab Government with the objective of facilitating devotees to visit religious places, three buses were flagged off today from the Lalru constituency for various pilgrimage sites. Constituency MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa Ji flagged off the 139th bus from village Batauli, the 140th bus from village Kurli and the 141st bus from village Jharmari, along with the devotees.
On the occasion, MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that the Punjab Government is running this scheme as a convenient travel service for devotees associated with religious faith, through which devotees travelling to different pilgrimage sites are being provided travel facilities.
He said that visiting pilgrimage sites has long been associated with the faith and desire of devotees. Through the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme, the government has made an effort to connect this faith with convenience. Extending his best wishes to the devotees embarking on the pilgrimage, he prayed for the welfare of all and the continued progress of Punjab.
MLA Randhawa said that this bus service is being continuously provided to devotees from different villages and urban areas of the constituency for visiting pilgrimage sites. With the three buses flagged off today from the Lalru area, the number of buses flagged off for pilgrimage under the scheme has reached 141.
On the occasion, special enthusiasm was witnessed among the devotees regarding the journey. The devotees expressed their gratitude to the Punjab Government for this initiative.
