Chandigarh, September 3:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini on Thursday paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sahib Amar Shaheed Bibi Sharan Kaur Ji in Raipur, Punjab and paid homage to the martyrdom of the great martyr Bibi Sharan Kaur Ji. After this, he paid obeisance at the feet of Lord Bholenath at the ancient Shiva temple, Dera Baba Uned Giri Ji in Lakhno and wished for peace, prosperity and progress of the entire country including Punjab, Haryana.
Addressing the devotees present, the Chief Minister said that the life and sacrifice of Bibi Sharan Kaur Ji is a source of inspiration for the coming generations. He said that not backing down from one's duty even in difficult circumstances and sacrificing everything for the service of humanity is real bravery. He called upon the youth to draw inspiration from their proud history and the lives of great martyrs and stay away from drugs and other social evils and join education, sports, skills and nation building.
He said that Lord Shiva is a symbol of sacrifice, power, restraint and humanity in Indian culture. Lord Shiva himself gave the message of protecting the world by taking poison in the form of Neelkand. He said that our Sanatan tradition teaches us that before our own interests, we should worry about the interests of society and the nation and before our own happiness, we should worry about the welfare of humanity.
The Chief Minister said that the relationship between Punjab and Haryana is not just a relationship of neighboring states, but a relationship of shared history, culture, traditions and brotherhood. Coming to the land of Punjab, he always feels like being in his family. He said that the teachings of Gurus, Saints and great people show us the path of service, sacrifice, courage, truth and welfare of humanity.
He said that today, along with development and technology, it is also necessary to strengthen the spirit of culture, sensitivity and service in the society. He called upon the people to maintain community in the society, help the needy, respect daughters, protect the environment and plant saplings on every auspicious occasion.

Every citizen will have to play his role in the concept of a developed India
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken a resolution to make India a developed nation by the year 2047. To fulfill this resolution, farmers, youth, students, entrepreneurs and every citizen will have to play their role. He said that the Haryana Government is also committed to extending the benefits of development and public welfare to the last person, providing opportunities to the youth on the basis of merit, strengthening farmers and respecting and empowering women and the poor.
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that public service is the biggest worship of the government and bringing a smile on the face of the last person is the biggest success of good governance. He called upon the people to rise above the thinking that creates distance in the society on the basis of religion, caste, region and language and move forward with unity and harmony. If the society is united, then the state will move forward and if India is united, then no power in the world can stop us from becoming a developed nation. He called upon the people from both the holy places to take a pledge to build a drug-free, educated, cultured, eco-sensitive and strong society.
