Bassi Pathana:- The death toll has now risen to 9 after a bus carrying devotees returning from visiting Sri Anandpur Sahib on the occasion of Baisakhi festival overturned in Fatehgarh Sahib. It is being told that 70-year-old Daljit Kaur, a resident of village Main Majri, who was injured during the accident, also died. With this, the total number of devotees who lost their lives in this tragic accident has reached 9.
According to sources, Daljit Kaur, who was injured during the accident, was undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh and was also discharged by the doctors, but due to sudden deterioration in her health late last night, she was taken to the government hospital in Phase-6, Mohali, where she died during treatment.
It is worth mentioning that 8 devotees died when a bus carrying devotees returning from visiting Sri Anandpur Sahib on the occasion of Baisakhi festival overturned in Fatehgarh Sahib.
There were 35 to 40 devotees in the bus that was involved in the accident. Most of the devotees injured in the accident were in critical condition, due to which they were referred to PGI Chandigarh.
