Hoshiarpur: The auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at Baba Augar Shri Fateh Nath Ji Girls' College with a spirit of love, affection, goodwill, and brotherhood. Marking the occasion, the college students undertook a unique initiative by visiting three prominent local government institutions—the police station, Punjab National Bank, and the post office—to tie Rakhis to the staff members on duty.
The students tied beautiful, handmade Rakhis onto the wrists of the employees, conveying a message of love, respect, and a sense of belonging. Through this initiative, they demonstrated that Raksha Bandhan is not merely a festival confined to the sacred bond between siblings, but also an occasion to strengthen mutual respect, social unity, goodwill, and brotherhood.
The employees of these government institutions appreciated and encouraged the students for this affectionate gesture rooted in social consciousness. The students celebrated the festival with the staff amidst great enthusiasm and joy.
College Principal Ms. Karamjit Kaur, Ms. Ritika, and committee members Mr. Ashwani Khanna and Mr. Jyoti Bhushan Sood were specially present on the occasion.
