Una, October 23 - The Basal Puli to Manohar Market Road (km 0/000 to 3/750) will be completely closed for heavy vehicles from October 24 to November 7. During this period, traffic will be diverted to the alternative Una-Takka-Dhamandri (km 0/000 to 9/225) and Kuryala-Jhalera-Dangehra Road.
Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has issued orders in this regard under Sections 115 and 116 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. He stated that these orders have been issued to ensure the speedy and smooth completion of road upgrades and other construction work.
The Deputy Commissioner has directed the concerned officials to notify the public about the road closure and to install advance signage to inform the public of the route change.
