Chandigarh, February 10:- Haryana Minister of State for Sports and Youth Empowerment Shri Gaurav Gautam said that the annual function is not just a cultural platform for students, but also a mirror of the talent, values, discipline and life values ??of the students.
The Minister of State was addressing the students as the chief guest at the annual function of a private school in Sonipat today. He motivated the students to progress in sports along with education and to stay away from drugs.
He said that the biggest responsibility of realizing the vision of Developed India 2047 that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has set before the youth of the country lies with today's youth.
He expressed confidence that by the year 2047, India will become the world's largest economy and superpower and the credit for this will go to today's students and youth. He appealed to the youth to take the country to new heights by moving forward in the fields of education, technology, health and innovation.
The Minister said that Haryana is today known for sports in the entire country and the world. Haryana's share in the total population of the country is only 2 percent, but more than 70 percent of the medals won at the national and international levels are won by Haryana players. He said that earlier it was said that those who study, write and become Nawabs, those who play and jump will become bad, but the youth of Haryana have changed this thinking and proved that those who study, write and become Nawabs and those who open and jump will become great.
He said that the Haryana government under the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini is committed to making the state drug-free and sports-oriented. He said that sports are the strongest source to keep the youth away from drugs and give them a positive direction.
