Hoshiarpur: The entire Hoshiarpur district has been honored with the selection of promising women cricketers Surabhi Narayan and Anjali Seemar, both from Hoshiarpur, who are training at the HDCA Center, for the Punjab Under-23 Women's Cricket Team. HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai stated that Surabhi, a Woodland School student, and Anjali Seemar, a student at Government College, Hoshiarpur, have previously led the Punjab Under-19 Women's Team.
Dr. Ghai stated that the selection of these two promising players has brought joy to the entire Hoshiarpur district. He added that the Punjab Under-23 Women's Cricket Team will participate in the National Under-23 Women's Tournament being organized by the BCCI in Gurgaon, Haryana. He said that with the dedication and hard work that Surabhi and Anjali, other female players like Pooja, Shivani, Niranka, Suhana, Vanshika, Aastha, Annaya, Dhruvika, Pratika etc. are putting in, Hoshiarpur will definitely get some female international player in the coming few years.
Expressing happiness over the selection of Surabhi and Anjali, HDCA President Dr. Daljit Khela congratulated the players and wished them all the best for the future on behalf of HDCA. District Women Coach Davinder Kaur, Junior Coach Nikita Kumari, District HDCA Coach Daljit Singh, District Trainer and former National Player Kuldeep Dhami, Junior Coach Pankaj Pinka and Dinesh Sharma also congratulated the players on their selection and wished them good performance.
