Karnal, 20 August. District Police Karnal is continuously taking strict and effective action to effectively curb theft and property-related crimes. In this series, under the leadership of CIA-3 in-charge Ajay Sagwan, the team of Assistant Sub Inspector Rajesh Sharma arrested accused Wazir Chand alias Wajira son of Lakhmi Chand, resident of Ashok Nagar, Gali No. 1, Police Station City Karnal on production warrant in the case of theft incident that took place in Shri Shiv Sanatan Temple, Sector-9 Karnal. The accused was taken on three-day police remand and interrogated. Stolen silver-like jewellery and other items were recovered at the instance of the accused.
The investigating officer said that on the complaint of complainant Anand Sharma, Shri Shiv Sanatan Temple, Sector-9 Karnal, a case was registered in Police Station Sector-32/33, District Karnal regarding breaking locks of temple office and hall and stealing silver crowns of God and other items.
During investigation, accused Wazir Chand alias Wajira was arrested on production warrant and taken on three-day police remand. During remand, intensive interrogation and at the instance of the accused, stolen silver-like crown and other items were recovered from his possession. During interrogation, it also came to light that criminal cases under other sections are registered against the accused.
The police team intensively interrogated the accused regarding other persons involved in the incident and stolen goods. The accused has been again produced before the Hon'ble Court and sent to judicial custody. The role of other possible accused involved in the case is also being investigated intensively.
