Una, October 16 – A two-day training workshop on "Construction and Masonry Work" began on Thursday at Punjab National Bank RSETI, Una. The workshop was inaugurated by Manoj Kumar, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Una.
This workshop was organized for candidates from various RSETI institutions in Himachal Pradesh.
Manoj Kumar stated that this is the first batch of construction and masonry work training in Himachal Pradesh, starting in Una. The program aims to promote efficiency and quality in the construction sector and create a strong pipeline of trained trainers at the rural level.
This training was conducted under the "Domain Skill Trainer and Certification" program. He stated that after the two-day training, participants will be recognized as certified trainers, making them eligible to provide training in the masonry field not only within the state but across the country.
Dr. Ambika Sahu, State Controller, RSETIs, Himachal Pradesh, stated that selected participants from all districts of the state have been included in this training. Following the training, candidates will undergo a computer-based test and skill test conducted by subject matter experts. Dr. Sahu stated that the state has achieved a target of training a total of 1,150 trainers in the current financial year.
Currently, 10 RSETIs are operating in the state, each with a target of training 150 trainees. Successful participants will be empaneled as certified trainers under the Rural Mason Training Program.
Chief Lead Bank Manager, Sanjeev Saxena, stated that PNB RSETI, Una, was established in 2010. To date, 9,845 trainees have been trained in 372 batches through 64 training programs. Of these, 2,694 have started their own businesses with banking assistance, and 3,569 without credit linkages.
The institute maintains a settlement ratio of approximately 70 percent. He said that the speciality of ARSETI is that the trained candidates are followed up for two years so that they do not face any difficulty in setting up their business.
On this occasion, Director ARSETI Una Sudhir Kumar, DDM NABARD Una Sabina Rajvanshi, DPM Una Jyoti Sharma, FLC RBI Una RK Dogra, Programme Coordinator PNB ARSETI Akash Bhardwaj, Manoj Kumar from Municipal Corporation Una and other officials were present.
