Hoshiarpur:- In protest against the policy of delay adopted by the Punjab government towards the demands of employees and pensioners, the state committee of the Employees and Pensioners United Front had announced a gherao of the Chandigarh Vidhan Sabha to delay the demands by giving time for repeated meetings by the government. A large number of mid-day meal workers left under the leadership of Kamaljit Kaur Kharadi, Balwinder Kaur and Amarvir Kaur to join this gherao.
On this occasion, the leaders said that the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab is exploiting the employees, pensioners, laborers and common workers economically and the government is not resolving the rightful and legitimate demands of the mid-day meal workers nor is the government serious about these demands.
