Nawashahr:- The Nagar Kirtan, which started from Srinagar dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, will reach Nawanshahr on November 22 (Saturday) where it will be welcomed by the devotees at various places. Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh said that the Nagar Kirtan will enter from the Phagwara side near village Mehli.
He said that after the welcome of the Nagar Kirtan, the first stage will be at Gurdwara Charan Kanwal Sahib, Banga, where the entire devotees will be welcomed. After this, the Nagar Kirtan will enter Nawashahr via Mahalon Road where the second stage of the Nagar Kirtan will take place. After which the Nagar Kirtan will leave for Balachor.
He said that the Nagar Kirtan will reach Balachor via Garhi Chowk where the devotees will gather near the bus stand for the welcome. The Nagar Kirtan will reach Gurdwara Tibbi Sahib, Rupnagar Head Works via Balachor, from where it will leave for Sri Anandpur Sahib.
Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh directed the officers of the concerned departments to complete the necessary arrangements on time, keeping in mind the arrival of the Nagar Kirtan and the convenience of the large number of devotees participating.
He said that traffic arrangements will be made by the police officers, deployment of medical teams by the Civil Surgeon's Office, cleanliness arrangements on the route of the Nagar Kirtan by the concerned departments, drinking water facilities for the devotees by the Mandi Board, etc.
He invited the devotees to participate in the events dedicated to the Martyrdom Day. It is worth mentioning that the Punjab Government is organizing various events dedicated to the Martyrdom Day at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to November 25.
