Garhshankar, 26 September:- The Shaheed Bhagat Singh Charitable Society, Garhshankar, organised the 18th voluntary blood donation camp dedicated to the eternal memory of Kaka Amandeep Singh Mattu at Hotel Pink Rose, Garhshankar. A large number of prominent personalities and youth from the area participated in the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by Master Balvir Singh Bains in the presence of prominent personalities of the area. On the occasion, the organisers said that the 18th voluntary blood donation camp was organised in the eternal memory of late Kaka Amandeep Singh Mattu, the beloved son of the Mattu family.
They said that 101 units of blood were collected during the voluntary blood donation camp organised with the technical support of BDC Blood Centre, Nawanshahr. Representatives of various political parties and leaders of different organisations attended the camp and appreciated the noble work being carried out by the Mattu family. The blood donors and prominent personalities were also specially honoured on the occasion.
Darshan Singh Mattu, Bibi Subhash Mattu, Dr Ajay Bagga, S.K. Sareen, Dr Lakhwinder Kumar, Master Balvir Singh, Happy Sadhowal, Ranjit Banga, Principal Bikkar Singh, Bhupinder Rana, Love Kumar Goldy, Rajinder Singh Shuka, Charanjit Singh Channi, Amarpreet Singh Lali, Somnath Bangar, Jasvir Singh Purkhoval, Sandeep Sharma Bora, Rocky Moila, Shinda Goliyan, Ashwani Rana, Ajaib Singh Boparai, Jagdish Rai, Advocate Harpreet Singh, Dr Tarsem Singh and Rakesh Mehdood, among others, were present in large numbers.
