Officials said that during this inter-state operation, nine persons, including a woman, have been arrested, including residents of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir. They said that this consignment of drugs has been recovered from Barmar area of ??Rajasthan bordering Pakistan.
The accused arrested in this case include Gursahib Singh, Jashanpreet Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Purushottam Singh, Gagandeep Singh and Rajinder Kaur, who belong to Amritsar district.
In this regard, DGP Gaurav Yadav shared a post on X and revealed that this drug gang was being run by Canada-based smuggler Joban Kler and Pakistani smuggler Tanveer Shah.
He said that the Amritsar Commissionerate Police has made a big breakthrough during a joint operation with BSF and Rajasthan Police. The officer said that other contact points of the gang are being investigated.
