Farmers in village Birowal were made aware about not burning stubble.

Nawanshahur- As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh and under the leadership of District Program Officer cum Cluster Officer Jagroop Singh, an awareness camp was organized for the general public in villages Birowal and Jadla to manage stubble. The team made farmers in the village aware about not burning paddy stubble from the Sarpanch and Panch of Birowal.

The team called on the farmers to preserve the environment and not burn stubble or stubble. Along with the importance of the environment, the damage caused by burning stubble was explained in detail and it was explained that burning stubble not only causes damage to natural resources but also harms human health, soil fertility and friendly insects.
Agricultural experts said that the smoke generated by burning stubble not only has a negative impact on health but also poses a risk of disease. On this occasion, District Program Officer Jagroop Singh, while appealing to the farmers, said that this time the target of stubble burning cases in the district has been set to zero during this Kharif season.
