Balachaur- In view of the rainy season and the increased water level in the river Sutlej, SDM Kritika Goyal today visited Dhussi dam at villages Bela Tajowal and Auliyapur and took stock of the situation and gave necessary instructions to the officials of the concerned departments.
SDM Kritika Goyal spoke to the officials of the drainage department about the water flow on the spot and directed to make all necessary arrangements. The officials said that at present the water flow in the river Sutlej is normal and there is no damage to the Dhussi dam in the area.
The leaders of the nearby villages present at the spot also spoke to the SDM and expressed their satisfaction about the condition of the dam. Kritika Goyal said that the district administration is continuously making efforts to deal with the flood situation and adequate arrangements have been made so that any kind of emergency can be dealt with.
Tehsildar Sukhbir Kaur, SDO Harjinder Singh, Junior Engineers Harkamal and Labhpreet, Sarpanch of Bela Tajowal Kuldeep Kaur, Satnam Singh, Narinder Singh, Santokh Singh, Desraj and Prem Chand etc. were present on this occasion.
