On this occasion, Society President Sukhwinder Singh Thandi and Amarjit Singh Khalsa said that like every year, Sri Guru Ramdas Sahib Society organized a plant langar dedicated to Sri Krishna Janmashtami and the first Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Chandigarh Chowk Nawanshahr.
On this occasion, about 1000 plants of flowers, fruits and shade trees were distributed along with medicinal plants like Tulsi, Moringa, Neem. On this occasion, after praying for the welfare of all, DSP Nawanshahr Shri Raj Kumar Ji started distributing saplings. On this occasion, he appreciated the noble work being done by the society for the conservation of the environment.
He said that the society has given a great gift to the city residents by planting saplings on the divider of Nawanshahr and making the city green. Along with this, the society servants also take care of these saplings every day. On this occasion, Parvinder Batra, Ankush Nijhawan, Sukhdeep Singh Sukar from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Rural, Harpreet Singh Khaira, Pankaj Kapoor (Kapoor Electronic) also supported the congregation in distributing saplings.
