Mega Veterinary Camp Organized in Una on Animal Welfare Day.

Una, October 4 – A mega camp was organized at the Multidisciplinary Veterinary Hospital, Lalri, on the occasion of Animal Welfare Day. Organized under the guidance of Dr. Virendra Patyal, Deputy Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, Una, approximately 60 livestock farmers participated in the camp.

Una, October 4 – A mega camp was organized at the Multidisciplinary Veterinary Hospital, Lalri, on the occasion of Animal Welfare Day. Organized under the guidance of Dr. Virendra Patyal, Deputy Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, Una, approximately 60 livestock farmers participated in the camp.
Experts at the camp provided detailed information on important topics such as proper rearing of young heifers, care of animals during pregnancy, selection of high-breed breeds, timely vaccination, causes and treatment of infertility, and identification and prevention of common diseases. Practical solutions to the problem of stray animals were also discussed.
Dr. Manoj Sharma, Dr. Navneet Sharma, Dr. Monica Thakur, Reema Rani (Veterinary Medicine Administrator), Saurav Singh, Sunanda Sharma, Animal Husbandry Assistant Vikas, and other staff members were present at the camp.
Experts explained that animal husbandry not only helps strengthen the rural economy but also provides a lucrative means of self-employment for youth. Participants pledged to incorporate the guidance they received from experts into their daily animal husbandry activities. Free tonics and medicines were distributed to livestock farmers at the end of the camp.
