Hoshiarpur- Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur Jyoti Bala Mattu while giving information said that under the OTS scheme of the Local Government Department, Punjab, people have been given 100 percent exemption on the penalty and interest for not depositing property tax.
Under which this scheme was implemented till 15.08.2025, but in view of the enthusiasm being given by the people for this scheme and due to the heavy tax collected, the government has extended this scheme till 31.08.2025.
She appealed to the general public to get maximum benefit from this scheme by depositing their due property tax in one lump sum and get 100 percent exemption from penalty and interest. For the convenience of the general public, the property tax counters which were to be opened by the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur on 15-08-2025 were postponed due to some technical updates. 
The counters will be kept closed from 15.08.2025 to 18.08.2025 and will be kept open continuously from 19.08.2025 to 31.08.2025. Therefore, the city residents should ensure that they deposit their due property tax by 31.08.2025 without any delay.
