Hoshiarpur- Students were made aware about the war against drugs in a function organized in School of Eminence Tanda under the war against drugs campaign being run by the Punjab government. Former Deputy Director Punjab Dr. Kewal Singh Kajal, SMO Tanda Dr. Karan Kumar Saini, Eye Donor Incharge Tanda State Awardee Bhai Barinder Singh Masiti were specially present in this seminar organized under the able leadership of school principal Rajesh Kumar Trehan, who were warmly welcomed by the entire school staff, principal sahib and students on reaching the school.
On this occasion, Dr. Kewal Singh Kajal gave information about the ill effects of drugs on the human body, he told how a person gradually gets trapped in the clutches of drugs and harms himself as well as his entire family. On this occasion, SMO Dr. Karan Kumar Saini said that if any person gets trapped in the quagmire of drug addiction, then we should be informed about it so that the drug addict can be treated at the right time. He told that drug treatment is completely free in all the government hospitals of Punjab.
Principal Rajesh Kumar praised the campaign launched by the Punjab Government against drug addiction and advised the students to stay away from bad habits like drug addiction. On this occasion, Bhai Masiti also informed the students about blood donation while alive, eye donation after death and organ donation. Apart from others, all the members of the school staff were present on this occasion.
