Una, October 4 - Under the Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada, the Una Municipal Corporation has taken a commendable initiative to collect electronic waste (e-waste) door-to-door on the 10th, 20th, and 30th of each month for the convenience of citizens. The primary objective of this campaign is to make the city clean, pollution-free, and environmentally friendly, while also ensuring the safe and scientific disposal of e-waste.
Una, October 4 - Under the Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada, the Una Municipal Corporation has taken a commendable initiative to collect electronic waste (e-waste) door-to-door on the 10th, 20th, and 30th of each month for the convenience of citizens. The primary objective of this campaign is to make the city clean, pollution-free, and environmentally friendly, while also ensuring the safe and scientific disposal of e-waste.
Una Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Manoj Kumar stated that this initiative will ensure proper disposal of discarded or unused electronic equipment within the municipal area so that these wastes do not pose a threat to the environment or human health.
He appealed to all citizens, businesses, and institutions within the municipal area to hand over unused electronic equipment lying in their homes and establishments to authorized sanitation workers on the designated dates. This will ensure a safe, transparent, and streamlined collection process.

He informed that e-waste collection will include old or damaged mobile phones, chargers, headphones, LED bulbs, tubelights, CFL bulbs, computers, laptops, keyboards, mice, printers, TVs, radios, DVD players, set-top boxes, mixers, presses and any other damaged or unusable electronic/electrical equipment.
The Joint Commissioner said that this initiative will facilitate citizens to dispose of e-waste from their homes, which will reduce the tendency of indiscriminate garbage disposal and the city's environment will remain clean and safe. He appealed to all citizens to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation Una in this public campaign of Clean Una - Healthy Una and make their city an example of cleanliness.
